What is the ambient temperature affects the battery performance?

How to prolong the life of your UMPC, NetBook & MID Battery?
There are three things to take to help extend the life of your netbook battery.
First thing: store the battery separate from the tool in which it belongs to. If it is fully charged, don't leave it in the charger .
Second thing: keep the battery in a place that has a fairly consistent temperature.
Finally, if dealing with Nickel based batteries, make sure that the netbook battery is fully discharged before recharging it.
