How to Quickly and Correctly Replace Your Power Tool Battery

  1. Step 1.

    Turn the power off on your cordless drill(Wait for the battery to die before changing it).Then remove the cordless drill from the charging station.
  2. Step 2.

    Remove the screws(if it be held in place with a small screw), pull and slide out the battery to the cordless drill. Once you begin to remove the battery you can let go of the battery lock button.
  3. Step 3.

    Place the old power tool battery in a clear plastic bag. if the old battery cannot be used , take it to a recycling center for proper disposal.Insert the replacement tools battery. Place the battery cap back over the batteries. If needed, screw the screw back into place.
  4. Step 4.

    Charge your new power tool batteries completely before using them in your work(at least 24 hours).You can continue your work with the new battery now.
